First and foremost, any form of martial art, even mild activities such as Tai Chi, will offer tremendous benefits to your overall fitness and health. Attending a martial art class will have you building muscle and strength in no time. Your first few lessons may seem particularly difficult as your muscles adjust to being used in unfamiliar ways, but before long you will find that the different stances will provide you with a great deal of physical power.
